The skilled trades are those occupations that provide essential service to our lives – they build homes, offices, factories and vehicles.



We can provide reference material, describing the many skilled trades that have apprenticeships. Sign up for our Skilled Trade Workshop or talk one on one with a Case Manager.
We are able to answer or get an answer to all your apprenticeship questions and direct you to the appropriate services.
While NCDS does not manage the Apprenticeship Services for your employee to be registered as an apprentice, we do offer referral service to the apprenticeship client services unit.

Who’s eligible:
•16 to 24 years old
•Has shown interest in skilled trades
•Will be registered as an apprentice by the employer
•Needs to upgrade High school education
Employee payments;
$1000.00 to the employee who
• Has upgraded their high school education
• Registered as an apprentice
Employer payments:
$1000.00 to the employer who
•Registered employee as an apprentice
•Additional $1000.00 to the employer in 6 months, if the employee is still working with that employer
