How do I apply for a position with the Rainy River District School Board?

Teaching Positions:

Applications for teaching positions must include all of the following documentation:

  • A cover letter indicating the type of teaching position for which you are applying.
  • A current resume.
  • The names of two professional references, one of which must be from a current or recent supervisor). Please complete the Board's 'Reference Authorization Form' and submit it with your application package. Click here to complete the Reference Authorization Form (Word / PDF).
  • Relevant supporting documentation, such as your practice teaching reports.
  • A current copy of your Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualification.

All Non-Teaching Positions:

Applications for non-teaching positions must include all of the following documentation:

  • Documentation of credentials (e.g. copy of degree or diploma).

Teaching After Retirement from the Rainy River District School Board:

Criminal Background Check (CBC):

Why do I have to submit a Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening before working for the Rainy River District School Board?

Effective January 1, 2001, Regulation 521/01 of the Safe Schools Act came into effect. This Regulation requires all current employees and service providers who come into direct and regular contact with students to provide a Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening.
