Project Sunset

Project Sunset is a program aimed at children in grades 5-8, providing empowerment through experiential learning opportunities in school, after school, through music art and culture and with trusted adults (the OPP and various community volunteers). Download the Volunteer Package.

Healthy Living Food Box Program
Volunteers are welcome anytime during the day, 3rd Wednesday of every month, to help bag fresh fruits and vegetables for each station, pack the food boxes and help carry boxes for those who are not able to. Not for profit and a partnership between Métis Nation of Ontario Healing & Wellness; Gizhewaadiziwin Health Access Centre; Northwest Health unit; Valley Diabetes Education Centre. Are you looking for some rewarding work?

Come join the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary to Branch #29. We are a group of dedicated, hardworking, caring and fun loving women who are proud to serve our community.

We are involved in community events and hold monthly suppers, cater to functions and funerals to raise funds to support many groups, organizations, and services in our community. We support Veterans’ Organizations, the Local Legion Branch, local schools/children’s programs, High School scholarships, Riverside Health Foundation, Rainycrest, candidates to the Peace Gardens, Local Sea Cadets, local food banks and many more.

If you are a high school student needing to fulfill volunteer hours, please contact us.
